A few free pixel icons
# posted June 26th, 2008 in I Think Icon, I Think Icon
I recently decided to practice my iconography skills by making some small web-related icons with nothing more than the pencil tool and a limited color palette. It was fun and educational, and the best part is that I have a set of 36 juicy icons to show for it! It’s deliciously pink and green, and I call it “Materwelon.”
I’ve done some fake anti-aliasing to soften the edges, so these icons will look best on a very light or white colored background. They all fit into a 16×16 square and I have prepared a .png that contains them all in a grid for easy CSS sprite-sheeting. Here’s an example of how you might use these in a webpage, and here’s the sprite sheet with all 36 icons. Feel free to use them however you please.
Enjoy!

I love the radio buttons. The unchecked one looks like a lime-icing donut.
